The Cheddar Cakery opens daily for cupcakes, tea and coffee, and of course made to order celebration cakes opened at the end of August 2020 in the backdrop of the global pandemic. Charlotte has been baking since childhood and had always wanted to own a baking business. 

 

With the global pandemic forcing us all to stay local and think more about family and our communities, we decided the time was right and choose to open the Cheddar Cakery in the heart of Cheddar Gorge.

As part of our business journey it is important to us to try to promote and use local suppliers. With this in mind we continue to select local suppliers for our ingredients and want to collaborate with local businesses wherever possible. 

​

We bake onsite daily to ensure we serve only the freshest cupcakes and cakes to our amazing customers. Daily we stock a range of cupcakes with approximately 10+ flavours including gluten free and vegan options. 

​

Of course cake needs to be paired with great tea & coffee and inline with our 'think local' mantra we are very proud to have partnered with Easy Jose Coffee,who roasts their ethically sourced and produced coffee locally in Shepton Mallet . See Easy Jose Coffee for more details. Even our tea suppliers Cosy Tea and delicious hot chocolates, Zuma are Bristol based.
